Please update, I'm picking up an e46 console tomorrow. Gonna try this myself.

You basically have to trim an inch off of the bottom of the arm rest, figure out a way to mount it solidly, and then widen the E30 shifter console. I've come up with something, but it isn't something that would last.

The interior part is coming up on my cabrio build, so I will be revisiting this. ;)
