    m-tech2 wheel opinions

Anybody with an M-Tech2 steering wheel got an opinion of it? I'm thinking about picking one up, but don't want to drop the cash without some idea of whether it'll be nice or not.
    thanks,

They're spendy new. If you get one, get the smaller diameter.

For the price, it wouldn't be my choice for an aftermarket wheel. I like something a little larger diameter (in the thickness of the wheel, not overall diameter).

The hands down, best wheel I've EVER EVER used was the Racing Dynamics one.

I used to not like how they look but they have grown on me. I like them because of the ergonomic thumb pads, smaller diameter (but not too small) and it bolts right in. It's a factory upgrade that's hard to beat. It dresses up the interior nicely.

Like KenC said, I'd prefer something with a thicker rim.

I loved the one my turbo car used to have. Definitely go with the smaller diameter though if you get one.

With the smaller one, can you still see the speedo?

I hope I can chime in on this thread later today, that's only if mine comes back done from the machine shop.

And are e30 and e36 wheels compatible? I see this one for sale in the UK, someplace I'll be for the next two weeks...

I think the splines are different.

People are tell you to get the small one, cause the smallest wheel is still big, IMHO. But at least you can see the gauges with it (I can, and I'm about 6'1"-6'2" feet tall)

These wheels have two backings. The one in your link appears to be the wrong backing for the E30.
I know,I found out the expensive way.

By backing, do you mean the splines and slip ring, all that stuff?

No not by spline but by the entire backing hub.

I love my Mtech 2, looks and feels way better than an Mtech 1! Looks very clean inside an e30. No ricer look like MoMo's IMO
