    mtech 2 wheel diamiter question

How do you tell the diameter of your m tech 2 wheel? The wheel is 15" measured from the very outer edge - not sure if that's the correct way to do it. Comes out to 380 mm. Measuring from the "center" of the outer edge gets you 370mm.

easiest way is to measure is to take the part number, plug it into realOEM or bmwfans, and they do the math for you

the only number found was on the back of the wheel hub 11528964 Nothing comes up on realoem or bmwfans which leads us to believe its the wheel hub part number.

If there is a part number located on the wheel where is it? Or is there any other way to tell what wheel it is?

Remove the leather wrapping, it is under there.

Your saying the part number is stamped somewhere under the leather of the wheel itself? So you would have to ruin the leather to find the part number...?

It's stamped into the rubber (on the wheel itself) behind the horn pad. 086 is the small diameter 370mm M tech 2 wheel.

What's the diameter of an airbag wheel in a late model? It feels gigantic to me and I want something smaller. Been looking at M-techs but if they're only slightly smaller I'd go aftermarket.

They're only slightly larger than the large diameter mtech wheels. They DO give an improved feel though...

I think the large is actually 385mm vs 370mm.
