    3 Spoke Airbag Wheel Swap??

I am looking to replace my ugly 4 spoke airbag wheel with a new one. I was going to do an MtechII wheel but thought I would like to keep an airbag. Has anyone either fit or seen the euro 3 spoke wheel with airbag in any of our cars? Thanks for the help.

If you search "3 spoke euro e36" on eBay there are a couple different ones listed. None show applications for an e30 though. I was just seeing if anyone had tried this yet or not. I am planning on doing one in alcantara for my e36 M3 to get rid of my ugly 4 spoke airbag wheel in that and just want to do the same in my e30.

the e36 ones won't fit onto the e30 column due to a different spline between the two cars

I remember seeing an uber rare e30 one, I just can't remember where.

I've been thinking that I'd like to swap to a newer 3-spoke airbag wheel also. Is there any of the newer steering columns that are a direct swap? Maybe I can just swap in a junkyard column with the wheel on it and wire it up?

Cut and weld the spline portion? I would only attempt it if you knew exactly what you were doing. I'd try it if i wanted an airbag. I have a non airbag wheel that looks pretty similar to one. And know i'm not going to use a honda horn button.

With the spline swap brought up, will an E36 column, either tilt or not fit in an E30? There are a few tilt ones out there as I have one in my 95 M3. Would love to retrofit a tilt wheel in my E30 as well if it's possible.

What model momo is that? Wasn't aware Honda wheels fit the e30.

I could have sworn my sisters 85 fully loaded 325e sedan had steering wheel adjustment. I don't know if it was the weed though.

Civic Type R. MAD JDM YO!!! It does not bolt on with out some very creative mounting. From the factory momo used a hub adapter to mount it to the civics. Its not like the standard momo hub and it only uses 4 bolts. I bored out the spline section and drilled new holes to mount it to a thin quick release hub. That bolts up to any e30 hub adapter including nardi and grant. Here are some pics of it disassembled. http://honda-tech.com/showthread.php?t=1676987

I know this doesn't match the 80's styling of the car, but I would love to have a fully functioning one of these in my car.

I would also put it in my E30 if I could get it to work.
