Only if you don't have the adjuster on the backside so you can adjust the tension. I hear you though. It does vibrate more than a standard mirror. I have seen one retrofitted into a cabby...very nice!

I put one in my car back in 2005 or so. I like the way it looks but I don't use it much. Would be cool to wire it to come on with the dome lights. My S10 has a similar mirror and it lights up when the door is open.

What the fuck are you guys complaining about? It's one wire run to the dome light to wire it up. If you have the little screw knob peg thing that goes against the windshield then it doesn't vibrate any more than any other mirror.

I love my maplight mirror. Use it all the time. It took me 15 minutes to wire up and install the first one I did.

If you change it to LED, you are going to need resistors to lower the voltage from 12v to whatever voltage the LEDs are happy with (likely either 5v or 9v)

Get busy! And don't let the others tell you how to build YOUR car.

It took me 2 years to muster up the energy to install mine. Its one of those minor things thats a mod/upgrade. I have yet to use it for for anything other than just turning it on and off for fun. My mount broke off while removing the old so for me it was a cluster fak but in the end, it looks prefectly, no vibrations, and i might do it again if I had another for my cabrio...might.
