Rear view Map light mirror thoughts?

To all the members that have one installed, do you like it? Not too big or bulky? Useful? ect..

I just traded a 14'' basket weave cap for one of them. Just wanted to read some thoughts.

I'll search, but anyone want to post some pictures?

            Lol

Yes, I traded some dude on craig's list for a basket weave cap. I hope he pulls through.. If not, I have his address and phone number.

But anywho, I'll see about how difficult putting LEDs in will be and report back here.

Might take a while, electrical isn't my forte.

Overrated IMO. If you don't have one, I wouldn't bother with one. Not worth the effort of running the wires up, etc. I'm planning on replacing mine with a Gentex mirror like this:

You'll see it's been done a few times on here if you search.

My thoughts are that people ask too much for these mirrors...

For sure. My car has one but I don't see what all the fuss is about.

OP: you got lucky with the one weave cap. I traded an extra map light mirror for a set of nice US grilles, plastic bumper cover, and right side pop out window.

I put one in my car, never really use it. I could take it or leave it but I know the standard mirror is less bulky and lighter.

I want one because I frequently drop stuff and a light in the front would be helpful especially if it's at night.

..exactly what I need one for!

Too bad I don't feel like paying $50. You'd think a car as awesome as the E30 would have come stock with a dome light in the front.

I use mine a lot, but my car came with it. I definitely wouldn't go through the hassle retrofitting one in a car that didn't.
