    What else do I replace when I change my dash?

    As title says I'm replacing my dashboard and I wanted to know what other parts do I replace while I'm in there?

    Any cabin filters or seals I should be aware of?

    Tell what you know guys!

    Iwantspeed is a king at this. Pm him on what gaskets need replacing.

      I know there is a foam gasket that's at the center of the HVAC box. It will probably fall apart if you look at it bad.

          Definitely the foam blower gasket. Other than that, if you're really OCD you might want to replace the plastic ties that hold/support the various wires and harnesses since they WILL break when you try to undo them (if they haven't already).

            I had the same post up on another forum, here's what was suggested:

            * New foam seal on top of the heater matrix assembly
            * New new matrix
            * Any/all bulbs
            * Clutch Master cylinder - if you have the pedal box out
            * Tidy any wiring
            * Make sure that the heater fan is lubricated properly - can cook heater resistors + replace this while your at it if your fan only works at certain speeds.

            Thats all I got so far. I managed to get the dash out while keeping all straps intact, carefully undoing them worked for me, the zip ties didn't survive :p

            Labelling where everything goes might also help when putting it all back in, although there are a few good tutorials floating around which should help.

              What about the heater core itself? You wouldn't have to worry about it for another 20 years
