    Is this the famous E30 Recaro ?

    I found this local for sale,
    2 front ones in used but good shape
    can somebody tell me if this is the famous E30 Recaro ?

            Definitely not an E30 seat belt receptacle. I'd go with it being a VW seat, but I thought those had mesh headrests.

              Didnt E21's have similar seats in the "s" model? But in leather/vinyl.

                      The "famous" Recaro seats that were an option on some E30's are similar to BMW sports seats but they have bigger side bolsters. Like the BMW sports seats they have adjustable thigh support and use a ratchet lever to adjust backrest angle rather than a rotating knob like in your picture. The ones in the later M3s are different again.

                        Luis, those are Recaro SRD's, that came in the Sport Evo M3's.

                        Axl, those look slightly different than the E30 Recaros. They look wider and less heavily bolstered. They aren't E21's either.
