Who makes a dead pedal that fits a cabrio? Has anyone modded a non-vert dead pedal to fit a convertible?

No, no ...and no. haha I think if you find a deadpedal pad that screws through the carpet it may work but I don't think there's enough space for a coupe/sedan pedal."I'd probably take the E30 M3 in this case just because I love that little car, and how tanky that inline 6 is." - thecj

AC Schnitzer made dead pedal for the e30. In my AC Schnitzer catalog it list e30 & e36 share the same dead peal.
On ebay I seen two for sale the past.

This is confusing because they show the same pictures for different pedals. All of them except for the upper left one says (except cabrio) yet they still use a pic of the one with the notch and that doesn't look like a convertible running board trim at least not a US model.
Does it say.."Cabrio 5171 1071" ?
Have you seen or owned one to confirm?"I'd probably take the E30 M3 in this case just because I love that little car, and how tanky that inline 6 is." - thecj

Next one that comes up for sale I will buy it. Yes it is confusing. I had two black ACS dead pedals. They look the same. One had a part number. It read 5171 10 70. That one fits all e30s but not vert. I think the correct part number for a vert is # 5171 10 71.
When find one I will call Robrez and you Barry.Projects Hartge,Alpina & AC Schnitzer Builds.http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=280601
