    Center Console Buttons

Ok, this has been bugging me. I saw a random pic online, it was of an e30 center console. It had 6 buttons. 4 windows switches, one window lock switch, and one smaller button to the front left of the shifter (5 speed).

    What is this smaller button?

The one on the console solely disables the rear door windows. I this is a safety feature for children in the back seat. Being that I have owned more 4 doors than 2 doors this is what the little button does.

What is that in the center? a Lilliput? Also that thing near the steering wheel with the red yellow green led's.

Lastly  for using a PS2 cover as a base piece.

I was hoping someone would say that before the end of this thread. Yea there are some bigger problems if you are gutting up a ps2 for just a panel. Why do that when you could play some star wars battlefront

If it wasn't a PS2 cover it would look good, I just wish there was an easy way to have a double din deck in an E30 without having to get one of those tacky flip up ones.

Do a lot of people move the hvac controls to the in-dash storage area?

I'd pay money to know the thought process involved from initial troubleshooting stages of figuring what would be good for a panel and cutting up a PS2

Anyway; I used that small button as a new bypass to the old huge atomic bomb pushing explosion one that always fades
Turned out well and I was able to place the button to the driver's side where it belongs

ive always hated those kill switches on the console there.
for my sedan, i got an early coupe console, moved the big kill switch up to the blank spot above the radio, and just tucked the small kill switch in under the console since its redundant. cleaned it up nicely:
