    Water in rear pass. side?

When I was installing my seat backs today I noticed that the carpet under the floor mat on the pass. side backseat footwell was damp. Does anything drain into this area at all? Seems like a random place for water. I had some water in the jack area in the trunk a few months ago but since I drained it it hasn't come back. I think I might have a clog somewhere but any ideas where it'd come from to get in the back footwell? Its only on the pass side.

    Sunroof drain?

I've never had water in the car like that, so I dunno.

spill a bottle of water? have your drain plugs (the 6" round things in the floor pan) rusted out or off -- mine have.

        kinda like this?

I'm pretty sure the sunroof drain has something to do with it, but I don't know. I never had that problem with my 4 door.

and I seriously doubt TJ's car has any rust on it..

WOW, you know what, there was an empty water bottle from a friend of mine sitting back there, but I thought it was empty before. There is a good chance it wasn't and it leaked out. I am going to dry it up and see if it returns. Sometimes questions have the simplest answer :)

Theres really no rust under there except for on the muffler pipes, this is the best pic I have.

Mainly, I was joking, but didn't you have a little on that spot on the fender lip that got bit by the wheel?

I shouldn't talk about rust. I bought a car from Massachusetts.

Yes, there is a little rust on the fender but thats not from a shitty climate, thats from oversized tires. There is rust on a scratch in my sunroof panel too but I bought it like that.

Did you ever find out if the water came back? I found some in that exact place today. Passenger rear.

No it never came back. I am pretty sure it was just that water bottle that drained out.

I went outside and sprayed the hose pipe down the sunroof drain. Water came out of the rockers like it should.

What else could it be? The car has been sitting in the same spot for about a week and it did rain for 2 of those days.
