I'd imagine so. Buying a pair of torn up sport seats and sending them to Car Art to be recovered would be another option. His M-tech cloth interior = teh sex.

My fast says: traction control is for the faint of heart

Yep, he just did my sport seats with Alpina clothe centers and vinyl bolsters.

Sport seats are great seats. I'm with AJ 100%. I have comtemplated giving up the SRD for a pair of cloth sport seats, like the ones S50bmwe30 or whoever posted. Comfy, good bolsters, awesome adjustability (slam those bitches to the floor)

About my fat ass, Josh, lol.... irony coming from you. The replicas bottom bolsters are a lot more further in front of the seat.... which you probably didn't know/couldn't see/weren't in knowledge of before you opened your mouth. The SRD bolster is a huge triangle which is more in the middle of the side, not in front, so it would hug a person's ass, not thigh.

and if you care to think about how much mass (think vertically) is involved: a bolster at your ass, the base of your torso and upper body, versus a bolster only counteracting movement/rotation of your legs and thighs.... which would be better?

        Directed towards TJ:
The guy who sat in my car for the dyno run said "you are definitely either in these seats or out of them, that's for sure." I've gotten used to them, and boy are they comfortable and hug you nicely in the turns! (felt the difference going around the first curve on a backroad and felt a shoulder bolster opposing my shift in the seat). Plus, a proper bolstered sport seat eliminated any desire for a life-threatening harness, because I've honestly never have felt the need for one now. Big bolsters are nice, and you just have to get used to getting in/out. Now, fixed backed on the other hand.... that's just silly.

Heeter, if you get rid of the SRD--I might be interested. I miss it :(

            what exactly? the cig burns?

everytime i sit in an e30 that's not mine, i go wtf how can you people live like this. seats are imo one of the biggest factors in driving. you have to be comfortable, and the cool thing about a good seat is how much feedback you can get from the car. i don't know, i'm a geek.

yeah, the cig burn? the jizz stains? or the smashed left ass bolster, lol.

did pasha have the whore seat too? or just see it a few times when it was around SD?

agreed on feedback. skafrog says even more so than I know, that when the back end is about to let go, he can feel it in his butt, or something along those lines.

seats won't increase the performance of the car necessarily, nor will they make you a better driver, but they will keep you in place and allow you to do what you can and want to do, which is a major plus.

How much did you pay for the seats?

I think the sport seats are great for daily driving and they hold you in pretty well unless you are too fat to fit in the bolsters, or too skinny that there is room on either side.
