    Lube the seat slider rails?

    Hi Guys,

I'm rebuilding a sport seat, and I've cleaned up the seat slide rails nice & shiny. I lubed them with spray lithium grease, but it seems pretty runny. I don't want to mess up the carpets when I reinstall, so I'm check to see what you use on your seats...

    Thanks!

I would use something like wheel bearing grease out of a tub, not a spray can. Anything that sprays is going to be too thin.

I have a can of lubro-moly "brake lube" grease I use on all that stuff. It's molybdenum grease so it lubes well and it doesn't seem wash out.. Lubed my sunroof a year ago and it's still on there.

The lithium spray I used on my seat runners comes out as a liquid but then fizzes its way in to the nooks and crannies then firms up. Its not going anywhere.

Yeah I used lithium spray as well. Got it from lowes for like $7 comes in a white can.
