    Gauge Pod

Does anyone know where to get a gauge pod that goes in the recessed area in the top of the dash in front of the passenger? I have seen them on a few E30's before and a bunch of E28's and E24's. I know they used to come on the E28 Hartges also. Any info would be appreciated.

Does the passenger (if there's one) need to know the engine's oil pressure?

I personally would rather glace to the side to look at the gauges than to look down by the shifter

you'd be better off to mount those over the center a/c vents - less out of your line of vision.

That spot is arguably worse than the popular cubby hole one below the center of the dash. I wouldn't want to look 4-ft to my right to see any gauge, ever.

4 ft? you must have a wide body e30, from my shoulder to that part of the dash is 2ft 3 inches...

I was exaggerating to prove a point. It's way too far out of the way. And unless you have eyeballs on your shoulder, it's farther than you think. Try measuring from the middle of the steering wheel/stock gauge cluster (where your eyes are actually lined up) to that spot.

Dave's suggestion is the best way to go. Or even just mount it on top of the dash just behind those center vents.

I may be a sarcastic asshole but I actually am helping.

Pretty useful question. IMO I don't think anyone was trying to be funny, just trying to figure out you reasoning, if it works, and you know the reasons, it would be better to answer than attack a question.
