    I can see inside from the trunk.. I hope its not death

    Im going to attempt to put e36 seats in an e30.
    No big deal... exept there gunna fold down. and...
    be usable.

    My materials.
    1.875 diameter DOM tubing .120 thick
    1/8 plate
    E36 318ti front and back seats with brackets out of car
    Random other pieces of metal for brackets

    I herd of people cutting out there sheet metal panle behind the real seat and there car collapsing and felxing alot... DUH

    therefor im going to have to carefully plan out where to strengthen the car.

    I am working with a guy who builds cages for 4x4's Ive learned alot of what not to do.

    The hardest part is gunna be reinforcing what ive taken out. after that, it should be cake

    So far all ive done is remove my trunk tar and carpet in the trunk. and look to see what i have to work with.

    My main material should be here and bent by wendsday.

    I will update with pics once i have made more progress.

    You opinions are greatly exepted.

      Did some work today...
      Hacked the brackets out of the e36 318ti donner car.
      posisioned the brackets in my car to see what modifications will have to be made

      this weekend im planning to weld up the new brackets

      NOpics NOcamra... will try later on.

          Why not just make a tube that goes from LR floor up to underside of rear deck, across the car, and down to the RR floor? Like a little mini-roll bar hoop. That would keep the fold down seats usable and should be strong enough to keep the car from flexing there.

              thats what ive been planning i already got tube and plates made. ive been talking to this guy that builds 4x4 rollcages. im gunn have the bar connected on the the rear fender well and go up inbetween the speakers and the back of the trunk. and also have flat bar going around the areas that are cut out. to stranthen that. i got all the brackets out of the other car and prolly gunna rough them in to were they need to be and maybe tack them in and see how the seats fit in them. i was gunna hack everything out then stick the seats in, but now ive decided to put the seats in.. then hack. im also sticking in new style 3rd light. i thought about trying to mount it up on top. kind like the m3 has. an eazy mod. just 3 holes and 2 bolts. and you need newstyle carpet. cake.
