    Rare interior research M-tech Red

BRINGING POST BACK FROM DEAD RATHER THAN MAKING NEW POST

UPDATE: Sold the car almost 10 years ago now. Still sitting on this interior and would love to free up some space. I just don't know how to go about selling something like this as I believe it to be so darn rare. Any additional input in regards to the rarity and perhaps value of this interior would be greatly appreciated and I have included a quick snapshot (could use a cleaning obviously). Note: I have the rear seat skin as well. Just not pictured. I purchased this interior I'd say 12-13 years ago on eBay. Long before replica cloth was so readily available.

It's been a while since I've posted anything but I am in need of some assistance. I purchased an interior years ago on impulse and never found out much about it and would now like to know more.

The set is, from what I understand is known as the M-tech Red single color. Similar to the tri color, but with just red. For a sedan, cloth.

Front seats (fabric only, it was removed from sport seats). Headrests (front and rear, red pin striped. Door cards both front and rear, with same m-tech cloth inserts and a rear m3 seat, same cloth.

Does anyone know more of the history on this? What it came in? Of course a picture is worth a thousand words and once I get home I will post a photo. The idea just popped into my head at work to ask the gurus.

Had only a second to snap some pictures this morning to give you guys an idea of exactly what I'm talking about.

We were just discussing this in another thread about design edition cars. From what I gather, the red was available in the special ed cabs and tourings. Some people use the cloth to reupholster M3 rear seats to match, etc.

almost certainly out of a design edition touring, missing the rear seat.

if you're looking for a price, you can find similar interiors on ebay.de by searching "e30 design touring"

a complete blue one is available for 1500 euro - https://www.ebay.de/itm/Bmw-E30-Tour...z/254892717257

I don't think any of the colors were especially more or less desirable than any other ones. Yours would be less due to not including the actual seat frames. Maybe you could swing $7-800 for it?
