Recommended adhesive for upper event button panel

Hello,

I just got an old beat up 87 e30. The event button panel above the rear view mirror is no longer flush mounted . It's haning out and I keep having to push it back in so it's flush.

What is the recommended adhesive to apply to secure the panel ?

Try clear adhesive RTV. You'll want something that's not permanent in case you have to remove it in the future. You'll need to jam something against it while it sets.

Buy a new header.

This is what I needed for my car. The PO glued it in & made a huge mess.
