I have never heard of a Recaro-optionned e30. The reason for which BMW started its own sport seats was to get rid of paying big $ to Recaro for their seats. It doesn't mean the Recaro weren't available from aftermarket, but most likely not from BMW. They were available for e12s, e21s, e24s, and e28s. Not the e30.

Also the foam from capitol seating is slightly different but the foam compresses and because of that when you put the bolster cover on should be the same if not close enough that you shouldnt really notice.Comment

My newest additions... was told they were out of a 911 but not really sure. Have only seen this 1 set with the weird slim bases before.

NP - btw those are a variant of the LX.
I was speaking to Ed Hessell from Recaro of NA and he filled me in with some simple but good to know info.
Most of the seats have a 3 digit code. The first 2 such as ls or lx are for the back of the seat. That being said all trophy style seats are ls's and all pointy bolster seats such as the ones above are lx's. The last digit stands for the base for example the tan recaros i posted a while back are lx-a's a being the digit for that flat base.Comment
