Does an e46 wheel fit? How about wheels from other, newer models? (Z4?)Leave a comment:

Well love it or hate it, I was just trying to get a little out the box, and keep things different. Plus, once I started driving a lot of new mercedes models, that came with wood/leather wheels, I just had to go for it. It was really all about the feeling in my hands that did it, aesthetics took a distant second in this race.
Also, option B, I could've went wood on an e46, but I got to admit that was a little too much....Leave a comment:

Gotta be honest, I do not like that wood steering wheel at all. Doesn't fit with the styling of an E30 interior.Leave a comment:

I get to install my Nardi wheel now! Andrew and I just made this:

It's an adapter ring that will allow the Nardi to bolt to the Momo hub. They want $35 for one of these on ebay, we made one in 2 hours and for the cost of 12 screws and a tap.
And here it is installed:

Its a brilliant wheel, nice and chunky but small.

You'll have to use the spacer/turn signal trick, as well as deactivate the ABS system as you are putting a non airbag wheel on an airbag car. Without this fix your ABS light will stay on. It's an easy 5 min. fix, SEARCH on this board.Leave a comment:
