OK, quick update - I managed to get the wheel back together with a new horn "retaining ring" which is what is pictured in my previous post. The coiled wire with the ghetto'd ground wire attached to it actually belongs inside the horn button. I had to take that sucker apart & put it back where it belongs.
That & the retaining ring brought everything together. I haven't put it on the car yet, but I will attempt that this weekend. I'm only confused about where do I ground the horn button itself?
Oh well, I will keep you informed...Leave a comment:

Hey, I didn't know I was missing a horn ring either! :o I found 1 on eBay for under $10 shipped, but Momo USA put me in touch with a retail distributor here in Orange County & the guy is just going to give me one...I think. I'll let you know tomorrow.Leave a comment:

**UPDATE: OK, I just got off the fone with Momo USA & from my discussion with the sales rep, it appears that the "retaining ring" shown in the photos above is a big part of the missing puzzle. There is a guy on eBay selling them so I may order from him. But I think that is going to make everything come together. I'll keep you informed...Leave a comment:

Yeah, I love smoking cigars. That's a Bolivar belicoso fino from Habana (sshhhh, don't tell the ATF!)
. It's probably the only vice I have after trying to put messed up steering wheels back together.
I appreciate the candor & will definitely stay on you to get some pics! :hitler:
I just saw my wheel (w/a Momo horn button) come up for sale on eBay & he has a picture of the wiring, but it is really small & I don't think he has a hub for it. I asked for larger resolution fotos, but no reply yet.
I think I may need "horn ring" which attaches between the hub & the wheel and has a spade connector for ground. It looks like this: (do you have one on yours?)

Are you smoking a cigar? Honestly I have no idea what is going on in you pictures. I'll try to get some pics for you. Don't be afraid to keep on me about it.Leave a comment:

LOL @ "operation"! Not really springs, more like a coiled copper wire which, I believe, is supposed to act as a grounding wire.
There is also a small rounded wire, which should act like a "C" clip to hold the horn button in place (or so I think). Here's a pic:

This is what I started with:

Which somehow became this (after I dropped the crash pad & wheel while taking it apart):

Springs!?? WTF? Umm well the thing is I don't have mine wired up right either. Only the thumb buttons work, but the center button does not. I'll take a look. Plus my horn is broken or going out. It barely makes a sound. Sounds like the buzzer from "Operation".Nic, are you ever going to post a pic of your other wheel showing me the wiring for the horns? My crash pad fell came off & some of the springs went flying & I don't know how to put them back correctly. Help me out, you're the only one I know that has the same wheel. ;)Leave a comment:

Recaro SRD's? What sort of brackets did you use for your seats?
