      He stated the part numbers:

Result: Got this for trunk lights and plate lights. They are bright enough, crisp cold white in color. I would recommend getting slightly larger though, these are 36mm long. I had to bend the clips a little bit, 39mm might have been a better choice. The 4-led is plenty for the plate but the trunk it wouldn't hurt to amp it up some.
Edit: here's the link, 2nd group down. He suggested 39mm would be better, so 3910-CW6.

I'll try to when I do the update, gotta go in there again when the 5W's come in anyways.

              update

5W tails not in but I did get other stuff

              4 168/194 Miniature Wedge Base Socket $ 1.19
              Twist-Lock T10S-TW
result: not needed, dash came with them. duh.
will need if yours were missing to begin with.

              2 WLED-xHP5 Wedge Base Bulb $ 5.95
              White WLED-WHP5

              2 WLED-xHP5 Wedge Base Bulb $ 5.95
              Blue WLED-BHP5
Result: did not use the white yet but did put the blue into my GF's iX.

It looks about the same as the pic in real life.. I ALMOST got the effect I wanted, but it seems that the orange is quite persistent. I think that either those colored light tubes can actually fight the blue, or that some of the smaller bulbs were assisting and I would need to blue those as well. I did pull the orange caps off the bulbs. I'm considering taping over the light tubes that bring the light around to the front.. this is where the bulk of the orange seems to be coming from. but then i could lose the needles.. guess if I was hell bent on this I would yank the light pipe and add some led's for the needles down there.Brightness is not an issue.. they seem stock or better. getting the uber tower bulbs probly would have been a waste.

Either way I'm looking foreward to putting the white in my car and avoiding this coloring issue.

              1 LED bulb Flasher Unit $ 12.95
              CF13GL-02
result: performs as advertised. I got the right one! regular speed blinks.

in case you never had the pleasure of locating it before.

              2 BA15 24-LED bulb $ 7.49 (attempt #2 for front turns)
              Wide Amber 1157-A24
result: not quite as bright as stock but does fill the lens suitably. The picture is not a good comparison but I feel that this is bright enough. when the other tower style bulb (that I used in rear blinkers) is available in dual brightness amber I would prefer that, they are brighter than stock. This is fine for now though.

these rear pics are same setup as before, brake light is not on this is just the rear marker.

looks crazy bright but this is just the camera not dealing with darkness well. I'm pretty happy with the result, it is not blinding but much better than stock.

              2 WLED-x5 LED Wide Angle LED bulb $ 2.99
              Red WLED-R5
              2 WLED-x5 LED Wide Angle LED bulb $ 2.99
              Amber WLED-A5
Result: side markers.. swapped in just fine and are about stock brightness, maybe brighter. better color for sure.

                Alright, great update dude.

Once you get it all sorted are you going to compile all this? Even with my OCD I'm getting lost with the details. :D

Another question.. Does the new blinker unit "tick"? The one on my bike didn't and it was actually a PITA.

yeah, I'd like to re-arrange the 1st post or just re-post as something we could sticky or something.. getting these part numbers right and trying out for which ones look ok is a PITA and would prefer to save other people the trouble..

the blinkers do still have the relay click noise.

                      UPDATE

                      got the 5W's in.

and by request.. a set of pics with stock light bulbs on the left, and LED's on the right.

The camera doesn't show the brightness and color contrast as well as seeing it in person, but the bulbs are not as bright and more yellowish. The LED's put out much better color.. the markers are about same brightness but the turns and brakes are much brighter.

was hard to get both blinkers in the same pic, it's almost like they were alternating the LED was so much snappier.

                      about those brakes..

                      LAAAASERS

the 5W bulbs are very bright.. 3W would have been sufficient for sure.

Nice, thanks for the comparision...so you definately think the LEDS are brighter and show crisper colors? Thats really cool, I'll try the 5w then if they are truly that much brighter.

The website was kinda confusing on which led matched up where. Can you provide the part #'s for the LEDs you used? Thanks.

                          Besides, it's been done...

I love mine but here's a tip, if you rotate the bulbs a bit you can maximize the blue. They're still pretty directional and the orange light bars have a strong effect but you can tweak it pretty well if you're diligent. They way I have mine the fuel and coolant gauges are pretty orange and everything else is very blue, except my tack fades slightly towards the redline which couldn't have worked better if I'd planned it. :D

Looks pretty good, though we need daytime shots for brightness comparisons. LEDs look super bright at night.

My attempt came out decent. I should have done the inner boards like I did the signal lights... using 3mm LEDs. But man did that suck for soldering. There are 96 3mm LEDs in each turn signal alone, and the fronts have 60 3mm LEDs on each side. For the inners I used 10mm bulbs which require less bulbs to achieve the same brightness, but you get those patterns instead of the appearance of one light that you get with the smaller 3mm. Anyway:
