LED's have come a long way. The new stuff can be REALLY bright. I'm still thinking about LED lighting on my car or bike...

on a car is questionable with the style/year. but on a bike it shouldnt be a consideration, it SHOULD be done. safety is first, and them bright annoying lights helps alot.

i know a few of those are going to suck. LEDs make nice spot lights which means they suck at illuminating an entire reflector housing that just about all the light housings on our e30's are. you're going to have bright centers for all your lights and the rest is going to be quite a bit dimmer.

also, you forgot to get the turn signal relay for use with LED lights. without it, your turn signals are going to flash like one is blown out because there is not enough load for the relay to work properly.

                estimated delivery: 18th

It's a bit of a variety pack there, some have higher viewing angles than others. I'm hoping to get some good comparisons. I also am thinging I should have gotten the dash lights in wite in case I don't like the blue, but will wait to make sure they are the right ones.

the turns and fronts I went for high viewing angle, the rears I got some lame ones for the always-on and the mega-bright for the brakes.

I didn't think our blinkers did the double-speed thing, I was planning on modding the check panel to deal with the lighter load.

it's already been done. It worked out fine, they werent "spotlights" at all. but he used quite a bit of LEDs to make it work.

hm, the last time i saw someone try the LED bulb replacements in the tail lights and brake lights, they wound up as spots. it'd look much better as a whole circuit board of LEDs though.

and yeah, our e30s do the double flash when the turns are out. also, it's not the check panel you have to modify. it's all the sensors that detect a light out. i know all the sensors for the rear lights are that little black box in the trunk by the antenna. I've already figured out the license plate lights and how to disable that much of it.

the guy who did it correctly pulled it off. just looked weird in such a old car. whatever floats his boat.

they weren't LED bulb replacements, those are just stupid.

he remade the entire reflector housing using LEDs

                            +1

and what the OP got were bulb replacements. thus what I was saying before. I know about the guy who rebuilt his lights with LEDs. heck, I'm already working on doing that with mine. just trying to figure out the best way to split the tail light housings without breaking anything then I can start putting things together. I have the fronts halfway done. just need to start soldering things up there and install it.
