lamin-x it instead maybe, that why you can always take it off.

That's a pretty good write-up, but too dark for me. I'll just probably go with the MHW tails.

Just make sure he is well aware that no matter what paint he uses, they will still look like they were painted.

Does anyone know how painting them looks?? Those pics of the corrado make them look pretty good. And lamin-x. Wouldn't that be a bitch to cut and fit?? Anyone tried that?? Just curious.

                ...like ass.

if you want the paint that's removable, you can wash away the Testors tint spray with alcohol. but then again, something that's easy to remove will not last very long in the elements either.

if you have early tailights, definetly go with MHW smoked.. I'd still go with MHW for later style but some people don't like them because there is still orange in the turn signals.

There's a guy local to me that is pretty big in the VW community, I have an extra set of tails I'm going to let him do for me in Light smoke, he does nice work, check out this link, charges $85, you pay shipping or you could drop them off at his shop in Staten Island.

I've got an extra set of tails that I'm going to smoke hopefully this week. No promises though.

they will look like poop no matter what, the only way to make them look hot is to buy real ones, IMO, i've been there smoked my own, then promptly took the spray tint off, much improved w/o smoked look.

I don't know, I think if done right, they can look pretty good, just don't go dark, here's some light/medium tint by tintedtails.com.
