I ordered the low beam set from Classic Garage last night. Hopefully, I can get them by the weekend. I'm gonna try the bulbs that come with it first. I'm guessing anything will be better than sealed beams.

How old are your sealed beams? After a few years of heat & oxidation, the reflective coating in them tarnishes & reduces output. NEW sealed beams are actually decent lights...they just look ugly.Comment

You should be pretty happy with the Hella H4 replacements. They have higher quality coatings for the reflector dishes than cheap sealed beam units, so they should give solid output for a long time.Comment

New H4's. Sorry no before pics. I forgot. Pretty good improvement I must say. I have cheap yellow fog lights than run H1 bulbs that I basically had to use before with the sealed beams to see the road. Now, I can't even tell when they're on. You can't really tell but for some reason the left side is brighter than the right. It's brighter and whiter while the other is more "yellowish". The fog lights are not on in this pic. They are the same bulb, but just cheap bulbs that came with it so can't complain too much. Guess the next thing is to order some Osrams.Comment

Wanna switch one side out real fast and show the difference? My gf's getting me a pair as a late christmas gift.
could you post the link of the exact ones you got? Those honestly look as good as ellips and they have euro looking cutoffs. With some Osram xenon bulbs they'd be beautiful...for like a hundred bucks total brand new.Last edited by Vivek; 12-31-2011, 12:50 AM.The first car I ever rode in was an e30
