Why would you put in 6000k fogs? It would be much cheaper to get a good flashlight and shine it directly into your eyes when driving in bad weather.

Fog lights aren't meant to be used as driving lights, they are only going to serve to blind oncoming drivers if you put 6,000K HIDs in there and use them as driving lights all the time.

HID fogs are a bad idea. Purely for bling.

Also, did you get new D2S bulbs for the E46 ballasts? Stock is 4100K for early models and 4300K for later ones.

Dan, forget fog. Just wait until the first time those things are on in the rain. Not only do they cast WAY too much light right in front of you (hampering your long distance night vision) but you will be blinding the shit out of everyone coming the other way.

If you want, they DO make 3000k HID kits. Longer wavelenth light is a bit less likely to be reflected by moisture.

I wouldn't even bother with HID in the fogs. some H3 osrams would be plenty enough, and they'd at least be functional.

btw, when are you going to do a guide for the E46 conversion? ;)

You took out your brighter headlights just becuase they were 'played out'?

Dude I live in NYC we have street lamps with the exception of a few places the only wild animals running around at night are litte kids and plus my rear tires are bald anyhow so I dout I will be able to steer in their direction fast enough, so what is the point of seeing shit you cant hit?

NO dude I took them off because there is not that big of a difference out here in NY.... maybe out in the country side it does make a difference but at a 100% profit...ill stick to my elips.

Dan- what did you use to seal up the back of the elipsoid after running the new wires out for the zenon bulb? After several attempts I have something that works, but doesn't look pretty... at least it's water tight ;)

ill take detailed pics when i get a chance, its all double sealed, first with sealer, then with the e46 rubber boot that they use. its perfectly well sealed.

as for the fogs, funds are getting low, may not happen now, still maybe though, they're so cheap. meh.

mystikal, i think you are right, i made a mistake, they are whatever the new e46 stock kelvin rating is, im not sure. good call, thanks for the correct info, i was acutally just guessing 4800, thats why i said ~4800. thanks though.

chris, daily driver as well my man, and cant say no to trading some shit around my house that i never use for the parts. good deal ;)
