retrofit is best.... there is no other option, i doubt the spread on the stock projectors is any good and it definately was not designed for HID light out put. check out this forum those guys know their HID's www.HIDPlanet.com just do a little research there u will find your answer. if you do decide to go the conversion kit route, get the kit from the US, because if they say lifetime warranty and when they break and they all break you will not want to send it back to china.
hope that helpsE30 Project in progress......

I am one day going to snap and drive my car into those stupid 55w HID users and kill us all.

got some DDM 35w 6k bulb set up last night for the GF's car. No issue , not blue , great out put. That had to have been the 8th time ive bought kits from them. They are allways packed and pretty much just selling HID's . Over heard the guy say they last about 3-4 years. The HID bulbs are gas filled and over time leak. For the price they are good. nI paid 27.00 out the door for my kit. thats less that 10 a year if they last 3 years.

I have 55w is my lows. I need to adjust them left-to-right, but the cut off is so clean that blinding people isn't a problem if you have them adjusted right - but that takes a really good eye, and a good amount of time. And getting to the adjusters are a bitch. The driver side one is a PITA.

Yea, I wish I had bought two pairs. One to put in the car and one to keep as a back up. But I doubt that ddm will be around that long. The guys that run it know enough that when their name is completely soiled, they'll just start a new company, with a new name and start over.
Their entire business is based around paying the large advertising fees some of the forums are charging - then very aggressive advertising. The forum becomes their sales machine. Apparently it's a cash cow for everyone. My point is, ddm didn't become popular cause they sell a quality product...Last edited by george graves; 12-22-2010, 03:34 PM.Originally posted by Matt-Bhey does anyone know anyone who gets upset and makes electronics?
