What year were smileys sold ?

I am looking for the part number of a full euro passenger side euro smiley & high beam complete with bucket & adjusters. I have looked at several years on the etk & none are smilieys they are all non smiley. Anyone know either the year or (better) part #? THANKS!

I'm assuming you are looking for euro cars. in any case, they should be on all the face lifted years, 88-91, check the higher end models (325i, M3 etc) not the lower ends as those most likely came with non smileys.

also, AFAIK Hella has stopped producing the clear smileys, no word on Bosch, but there should still be a few kicking around. good luck.

I was in an accident and need to replace the passenger side and since I am in Mexico & the other guy has to pay I am getting the parts from the dealer, ordered from Germany. I just need the part number.

This is a 91 Euro M3 and it sure doesn't look like a smiley wtf?

      Thanks

yeah bosch and hella, it says they are both NLA

you'll have to go to the aftermarket. I don't see why you can't pick up a set online and have them sent to you though. people drive trucks in mexico too you know. ;)

Full bucket s with both lights & adjusters? Mine is most likely 100% toast.

What is their web address? I did a Google search & came up with the American Mathematical Society and AMS Racing which is for American Muscle Cars. for starters.

            Thanks

Thanks. The ended #'s in the ETK are the smileys? I am going to take it to the dealer here & see what they say.

yeah, I don't think any of the other sets listed are projector assemblies (smiley or not). but like I said there may still be a few hellas kicking around.

63 12 1 386 806 is a number I got from Patrick at BMA and it is available from BMW Germany through the dealer here in Mexico. Can anyone verify that it is a smiley? Damn thing is 3601.80 Pesos which is about 320.00 Glad the punk that caused the accident is paying!

I bought a pair of smileys and an H1 HID kit recently. Before I install them in my car, I want to refurbish them to like-new condition. I ordered a lot of new hardware for them including adjusters, clips, buckets, etc.

To get the part numbers, I went to the online ETK at www.realoem.com/bmw

Go to a European 1991 325i. Then go to the lighting parts group. You'll get the full part numbers for all the smiley parts there.
