    Depo Euro Smileys Smoked

I have a quick couple questions about them for anyone that has a set of these lights.

When you tap on the front of the lenses , does the whole light move a little?

Also, how do you wire up the highbeams?

I recently got a set of these and i tap on the front of the lenses and they move a little causing the light to move as well.

What do the high beam plugs on the lights look like?

It's probably normal for them to wobble, they're Chinese. ;)

Another DEPO hater, anywho i just got a set aswell, got em in last week, so far they have been flawless, but yea i never did that tap thing, but at the moment i have not noticed or seen any wobble come from the headlights, as for wiring the high beam, its quite simple, if you are moving from Sealed beam to Euro's Ellips, it a matter of finding one ground one power and eliminating the third wire that the sealed beam needed. i did notice the wires that come with the headlights absolutely useless and the ammount of connectors and adapters needed is absurd. i just hard-wired everything with no euro connectors, it just seemed unreliable with so many adapters and connectors getting corroded or broken. good luck buddy

here is a DIY for sealed to Euro
Basically when you get Smilies they just bolt up without an issue EXCEPT for wiring. From sealed beams: The sealed beams have a 3 prong connector 2 of the wires are ground and one is power. While the euro connector is 1 power and 1 ground, all you need to do is take the extra

      cheers

just tried again. I faced my car towards a dark wall.. tapped the lenses , it moves quiet a bit. If i grab the whole lenses and push down with a little force it will move the light about an inch or two on the wall and go back to regular position...

well these head light assemblies are put together pretty simple, just take a look and see what the problem is...

Yeah, because my 23 year old Hella lights are of better quality. Not only that I've got the same amount of money in to mine that depos would have cost and mine have been completely rebuilt with all new adjusters and clips.

Robert, as mentioned you should pull them out and see if something isn't clipped together correctly. Otherwise take them back to whoever you got them from.

DEPO is another term for SHIT in my dictionary.
I would rather stick to OEM US spec projectors than buy DEPO.
I can see why even smart people fall for it. They look so dang nice and shiny in the pics and a month later, you find broken ends and moisture behind the lens.

                            Ya take them back Robert.

I have a set of the DEPO smileys on my car and had the "wiggle" issue.

On my case, the cause was a loose adjuster. One of the low beam adjusters goes through a piece of plastic that attaches to the headlight bucket. I think it twisted loose when I was adjusting the lights. I gave it a quarter turn back into it's hole and all is well.
