City lights; parking light only ! ?

After much research I've had no luck with finding my answer. I would like to have my citylights turn off when I turn my lowbeams on.

im assuming you dont like the look of both lights on at the same time?

also, it might help to state how the city lights are wired up? side markers?

Then wire the city lights independently.

Correct, not a fan of both at the same time. Citylights are currently wired to the sidemarkers.

Easiest way is disconnect the city light ground wire from the sidemarker harness, and connect it to the low beam positive wire.

          (assuming your running halogen bulbs)

Just an FYI, in Europe the city lights ARE the parking lights and also stay on when the headlights are on.

Hmm. Well, it might still work. Give it a shot, worst that will happen is that the city lights won't light.

Can the citylights in the smiley's be wired up to be a running light and a flashing signal just like the signals in the front of the bumper? Or only one or the other?

Yes just hook the city light to the front directional

Well, there is a running light wire and a flashing wire. So do you have to tap into both power sources and then install a dual element city bulb? its a late model if it makes a difference.

I'd be surprised if there was a bulb that size with two filaments.
