Yours was the third I have done, it took less than 10 minutes at 250 and came off easily. I had the fog in there for 30 minutes at 300 and nada. (after 10 at 250 did nothing and I let it cool before trying again)
Damn thing has been boiling for 45 minutes and nada. My wife is thrilled.
As far as replacement 88+ foglamp lenses go, your only option is the acrylic Mr.Lens ones.
For all ellipsoids you have Mr.Lens again as an option. Recently a completely crystal clear replacement lense has become available, made entirely of glass.
Seems to be every bit the same dimentions as the original Bosch/Hella lense, but without the "ribbing" etc on it, and of course not ECE or DOT endorsements.
I see absolutely no reason why these cannot be used in the low beams, as the ellipsoid doesn't give a crap what its shinning through. If anything the pattern should be that much more pure with nothing in its way.
Downside being that the ribs do hide somewhat unsightly innerds of the lamps.

So I can order these from BMP?
$35 for the pair and they should work as replacements? I'm not to worried as they only need to last for the winter.
Thanks to both of you for the help.
I don't have one but I doubt it will work (I wanted the lense intact as the issue was the reflector was rattling around and the lense while pitted was ok) the heat of a pot of boiling water while not as much as a heat gun was not hot enough and the heat gun would only be hot on the spot you are pointing it at and you need the whole lens free not just one spot.
