    Smiley Demo......

Not sure if this has been asked before but here is my question. I am considering a set of Smileys for my car. I have seen quite a few Smiley conversions. But I have never seen Smileys actual functional. I am speaking of the little smile part of the lamp. Anybody have any pics of their Smiley's illuminated? Do they really contribute to evening/night driving? Or are they just for show? Are they really worth the extra money?

    Let's see.....................

To my understanding (i could be completely wrong)...
the smiley part is just a reflector that is supposed to illuminate the road directly in front of you.

I have a set, and they do act kind of like fog lights by illuminating the area immediately in front of the car. I don't have pictures but can take some next week when I'm home from the races.

There's just a reflector behind/below the projector lens that reflects light out past the projector onto the ground in front of the car.

I just want to see what they look like illuminated. Are they really worth the extra money. If they are functional its good. If it's just for looks, maybe the cost is not worth it.

ELVA164. Pics when you have time. Thanks.

Sorry if the adjustment is a bit off, I had to do some semi-hasty front end stuff while overhauling my A/C. It gives a good general idea of the performance though. Just keep in mind the camera will not capture quite as much light as actually exists, so there is a bit more spread around the central beams.

            Low beam only:
