Retrofitting a motorcycle headlight / led projector module

I'm not happy with the constant trouble my ddm tuning hids have given me. I am considering perhaps a better kit like these

But I'm also just tempted to say forget hids completely. In love leds, so much better, but the current high power h1 leds dont work. The leds are on the side so they're terrible for projectors. I know, I have them. They work great in my highs though.

So I was thinking, 5 3/4" is a pretty standard size. Maybe I just buy a whole sealed unit. But they usually come with highs, lows, and blinkers for a motorcycle. So then my next idea is something like this. Just replace the projector with one built for an led, one that has the led light beaming directly into the injector.

When I first started my search I was extremely interested in an LED projector. My research led me to JW Speaker. I found some pictures of the JW Speaker 6130 in an e30, but never could find any detailed information about the retro-fit. Also the JW Speaker units were quite expensive, so I thought it best to give the technology a few more years to mature. It looks like JW Speaker now has a 6130 Evo and 8630 Evo, though I do not know much of anything about them. I also was not thrilled with the look of the JW Speaker lights, especially on an M3 that I am trying to keep looking stock.

I think if you cheap out on LED components you will have the same problems you are facing with HID. There are quality HID components that just work, if you already have HID projectors then quality bulbs and ballasts should be a cheap fix.

The JW Speaker is exactly what I'm looking for, except damn they're pricey. >$200 is what I was trying to spend though, that's why I figured retrofitting my current lights would be the best solution.

I guess the solution will be Morimoto HIDs the next time my ddmtunings crap out.
