If you wanted the two separate bulbs you could just use the Depo housing and swtich the two reflectors. Of course you'd have to drill a small hole in the OEM reflector to fit the smaller bulb, but you'd get the look you want and separate running/turning lights.

Nah, I don't need 2 bulbs, and the Depo housings are cheap and flimsy as hell, and I don't like the look of the cheap-ass wiring.

Using Lamin-X to smoke your turn signals is just about as lame as using it to make smoked headlights.

Perhaps in your opinion. I'd rather have actual smoked lights than ones made smoked by vinyl film.

Josh, reading back through, I'm pretty shocked you didn't know what MHW turns looked like. TISK!

But Lamin-X for smoked... well, it depends on how "meticulous" you are about your car in my opinion.

I dunno, I figured maybe they were a different design than the OWM style smoked ones.

meh, mine look just fine. actually, they are so dark you can barely tell they are there when my lights are off. looks mean with the smoked kidney and hellas.

I like the look of what you have, but I like mine darker.

I guess it's not so bad with turn signals, I just can't stand lamin-x smoked headlights.

We'll see how mine look once I get them on the car. If I want them darker, maybe I'll just hit them with a light coat of VHT tinting spray.

If you want them darker and don't want to paint them, just remove the reflector in the housing. They will be MUCH darker. I don't know how light output would be affected (dimmer/less diffused), but its one alternative.

Hey joshie, I tried the DEPO lenses on the OEM housings first and it did look better, they leaked on me though. Thats why I kept them matched. For summer or dry weather only it shouldnt be an issue other than dust. I have the MHW's on my 4 door. I like them both for different reasons. :)

Here is the MHW's with the amber insert.

                              Without the inserts:

Can anyone tell me where I can get the MHW's? I just ordered what I thought were the MHW's from Abrahams and I got Depo's instead. I bought my MHW's for my previous E30 from Turner about 3 years ago and I just got an email from Doug saying that they no longer carry them.

                                Any ideas?
