dont you have fxr projectors? I might be confusing you with somebody else.

quick question, I picked up some US ellipsoids that I plan on baking and smoking them the proper way. If I were to use 55w vs 35w bulbs/ballasts is there any extra step I need to take or same as installing 35w HIDs?

I just bought 2 sets of 35w xentec ballasts with 9005 and 9006 bulbs; both in 5000k. I hope I didn't make a mistake.

The ballasts seem to be OK, but their grading on bulbs seems to be a bit inaccurate to say the least. They say a 50 hr time to get accurate results, but I dont see it. 5000K with them is BLUE.

here is the difference between the Xentec "5000K" bulbs and the true 4300K Morimoto bulbs I just got in.

Morimoto has about 2 minutes run time on it in this pic. still a bit white (against backdrop) but MUCH better than the blue on the pass side.

Here is a direct pic on the bulbs themselves. Morimoto is much better built, with the ceramic mount holding it to the base, as opposed to nothing on the Xentec.

I installed my xentec setup today on a set of US ellips I just got in the mail. The 5000k seem a bit blue for sure - but the light is more white than the headlights make it appear. Also, one of my ballasts was dead right out of the box.

I'll post pics later - I did 5000k on the highs and lows.
