    Tacho...

My tachometer has been dead ever since the B25 swap (circa 1+ year ago) and I was wondering what exactly I need to do to get it to work. The car is an '87 325e with the motor out of an '89 325i if that makes any difference. There is a 325i coding plug in there right now and everything but the SI lights (probably dead battery, but not associated with my tacho problem) and the tachometer works. I read FredK's article on StrictlyEta and it didn't really cover my current situation.

Hopefully it's not a faulty tacho, as I hear there is some sort of wiring change that must be made to get it to work, but I was wondering if anyone on hear knows what I need to do.

    TIA.

So if the SI battery is dead, only the tacho won't work?

Because everything else works fine right now.
