    Motronic ECU pinouts?

Does anybody have the pinouts for the Motronic ECU's? I'm looking for the eta in particular as I am swapping over to a GM ECM and would like to just tap into the harness to make running wires easier.

Also, does anybody know the pulses per mile the BMW vehicle speed sensor is clocked at? GM uses 4000ppm.

    Thanks in advance,

I'm not sure you want to use an eta harness, there's a lot of extra crap you won't need. I'd use an i harness, I have a pinout chart if you want it.

there's a thread about speedometer calibration on here somewhere.

Yeah, there will be a lot of stuff that's will be nixed, but it was my thought to keep the wires going to the usable sensors in place (ones compatible with the GM) so I'm not stuck making a completely new harness, if that makes any sense.

I can't find the thread about the speedo calibration, but I am going to leave the guage cluster the way it is, but in order for me to get the vehicle speed into the GM ECM, I will need to use a DRAC box (dip switches and a small home-made circuit board) to conver the PPM from whatever BMW uses to 4000ppm.

I have tried all kinds of searches (I may be a bimmer n00b, but not forum n00b lol - I sponser a cple sites), using pulses per mile, PPM with a wild card etc.

EDIT: WTF? I tried the search again and it came up. One question answered...

      7784PPM w00t!

What about the diagnostic datastream, anybody know what baud rate it uses? I see a lot of info that says it ranges from 9800 to 38400 in BMW. I have a program that reads the domestic 8192 baud streams and might be able to modify it to read my current Motronic. All the info I can gather before the swap will help me grasp the tune that much faster once the swap is complete.

        Thanks again :)

EDIT: A have an elaborate chip burning station, and am starting to wonder if it will behoove me just to see if I can hack the stock BMW ECU?
