Has anyone considered mounting some shallow depth subs underneath the front seats in a cabrio?
I found these Kicker 08CVT84 8" subwoofers that have a 3.5" mounting depth, i was thinking about relocating the rear ventilation ducts from directly underneath the middle of the seats to the sides (next to the rails) and then having enough clearance under the seat to make a custom fiberglass box.
I am not looking for a ton of bass but a couple of 8's with decent power underneath the seats in a sealed box might just do the trick...
Is the floor the same for cab's and coupes? i will be stripping my 88 325is in the next few weeks, and would be able to do a mock up if they are both the same (i have sport seats in the IS so the mounting depths and clearances should be the same)..
Has anyone tried something like this before?
