put a little digital voltmeter in dash...

    Started with this:

    from

After taking apart the cig-lighter voltmeter i got from ebay ($13 shipped) I measured and cut the hole in the switch blank and glued the display in behind it. Its powered off the purple wire leading to the hazard switch. It is a little bright but im looking for some tinted plastic or a bit of window tint i can slip in between the display and the switch blank. I just used a bit of glue to hold it on (contact adhesive) so it wont be hard to separate them again...

Now, just set it to the year you want, go 88 mph and your there!

BTW, I think it looks pretty cool and stock in a way, like it's meant to be there.

^^ use like a coat or two of "vht night shade" on it .its tail light smoker, but light still alluminates through easily.

            thats what id do.

thats funny, my son (age 6) is into back to the future right now, and he immediately wanted to dial in "1985"...

i was going to try a sharpie.... thats probably a better idea tho. ;) the REALLY annoying one is the CD deck, which also needs to be dimmed down badly.

Theater companies sell lighting "gels" - you can sometimes find them at those "guitar center" types of places. You'll want to look for either a red gel, or a ND (neutral density) gel.
