Tried again to stream music from pandora connected via bluetooth, using the "high quality" setting.
To paraphrase, my hearing must be better than "Stevie Wonder's eyesight".
So, I will once again be relegating my music to the USB drive, and using the phone to make calls.
The 805 is a nice deck. I enjoy it thoroughly. But as Clint Eastwood said: "...a man has to know his limitations..."

Here is another review: Bluetooth streaming audio is somewhat better than FM, having a 60db dynamic range and a 10 octave frequency range.
If your hearing is better than Stevie Wonders eyesight, do something else.
I have no qualms with the deck, only A2DP. Why use a shit connection when you already have a great connection?

Does anybody else get random clicking/popping when playing via iPod? It sounds like a low-latency 'click'.
Not really a bother, just a minor annoyance.

Here's a revised review for you: For those of us who aren't pretentious douchebags when it comes to audio, this head unit is great. Bluetooth and USB charging with iPod control. 9/10 aesthetics, 8/10 sound quality with stock speakers. It's probably not for people who put more money into the audio system in their shitbox E30 than their car is worth, but for the rest of us it is a very worthwhile upgrade.
Better?

Pandora has settings you need to change for high quality too; if you leave it in default it's in low quality for OTA streaming. Change it to high quality and it makes a huge difference.
BTW love my 805 so far.

I'll get pics someday, but they don't look any different than the ones on the link I posted earlier in this thread.

Thanks, I will check that out. It is a real pain to plug the phone in to the deck. Doesn't charge all that fast, and as soon as you plug in, it switches whatever you are listening to to the ipod.

Both. But you may not want to.
At first I used bluetooth to connect to the deck and play pandora off my iphone.
Sounded like sh@t. Thought my new fact. tweets were blown - lots of distortion and crackling. Then I connected via the headphone jack, and all the distortion and crackling went away. If you connect the usb to an iphone with the bluetooth paired: total protonic reversal, or something similar. don't try it.
In my experience, Bluetooth is only good for talk radio and making calls. YMMV

Good luck. Be sure to give us a report and post some pics when you get it installed.
