Sorry to hear that. Those were the kind of horror stories i heard which is why i didnt want to take it there. But at the end i said F-it! So far so good.

I tried, really i did. But after putting it together as was suggested, the darn thing would not work. I even spent two hours with Tech guy from Crutchfield. Nada, nil, zip. So flustered and irritated, i did what most ppl here say to stay clear of. I took it to best buy. They were the only ones that would take my car that same day. I almost didnt go just thinking about them possibly really screwing it up. But i said whatever, lets see. And they nailed it!! The sound is much better even though i still have my stock speakers. And best of all, i can use my ipod!! Now i'm into my audio and am thinking of picking up speakers. For only $50, Best Buy was the Best Choice...for me. I'll post some pics when my system is fully upgraded. Thanks everyone.

Oh shit, I didn't check if that posted OK or not.

    It didn't.

No, the "/" means the stripe on that wire, so red/green would be a red wire with a green stripe.

Now pay attention here: DO NOT CONNECT ANY WIRES I DID NOT LIST.

Do NOT connect the decks speaker grounds to anything. Do not connect any of the cars wires to anything at all, unless listed.

Oh: that was only 6 connections. Sorry.

Ok, just so i dont screw this up (sorry, i cant help it)...im connecting the following:

    DECK wire to CAR wire
Red Violet wire to White wire
    Yellow/Red wire to Green wire
Black wire to ALL Brown wire
Blue or Blue/White wire to BOTH White wires
    Gray wire to Blue wire
    White wire to Yellow wire

    Do i have this right?

I guess i need to get some tools and stuff? Wire crimpers, electric tape, ?
