Yup.Originally posted by CR325IS View Postso the one by the lens i plug into my car and the male piece on the end of that one I plug into the ballast?
I know on some systems, that line can be bypassed because the existing car plug is the counterpart to the plug on the ballast in order to decrease the excess amount of wires up there. But to avoid confusing you, the answer is yes.

i'm looking into getting a set of these too but i'm not sure which output to go with. i'm assuming 55w is gonna be brighter than 35w and i want a predominantly blue-ish hue but if you think they're not bright enough maybe i'll go down to a 55w 6000k.Originally posted by skatingzooyork View PostI have the 55w 8000k (standard size ballast) in my lows and 55w 6000k fogs in my e34. I went w/ the 8000k because I heard the 55w washes out the color so I was trying to get the white/blue tint but I'm actually going to 6000k's in my lows because the 8000k's don't have enough light output and are "too blue" for me, but they aren't purple at all...
Great product though!!
also, what bulb type do i want? h1 is set as the default...

55w 5000kOriginally posted by aworthybrother View PostI am ready to order a set soon, what would be the "whitest" / OEM look HID from DDM?
35W 6000k
55W 4500k / 5000k
55W 6000k
Thanks.
Trust me, 35w will leave you wanting more. It just wan't bright enough.
I have 55w 6000k and they have the SLIGHTEST waffleswaffleswaffleswaffles hair sized blue hue to them. So my friend, I reccomend you the 55w 5000k.
I also had the 35w 6000k, but it seriously left me wanting more.
To show you how much more, I only had it on my car for around 10min before I decided it wasn't enough.
(sold it 2 days later to some kid with a teggy for $70 lol.)
Good luck!

Thanks. Is 55W 5000k not too bright enough to be pulled over?Originally posted by ak- View Post55w 5000k

As long as you have projectors(which I'm sure you do) and make sure they aren't pointed higher then your high-beams(flick your high-beams with your lows on to check against a garage), then you're all good.Originally posted by aworthybrother View PostThanks. If your car is lowered, then even less to worry about.
You're welcome!

The US Ellipsoids use a 9006 bulb for the lows.Originally posted by MrSlacker View PostJust to clarify, if using US Ellipsoids, I should get:
DDM HID Kit Slim Ballast (35W or 55W)
55 Watt, Bulb Type H1, 6000K
Correct?
Whats the difference in Bulb Types?
The only difference in bulbs is the mounting and wire connections.

You need 9006 bulbs for the U.S. ellips, I would go for 55w and maybe a step down from 6k. I will find a thread for you with comparisons, you whore.
