windows still have power after ignition switched off.

Any ideas? My windows/ window switch lamps still have power after i have switched the ignition off. Does anyone have a wiring diagram or had similar problems?

I do have something similar going on with my car. I get power
to the switch if one of my door is open enough so the dome
    lights are on...

It only works if the dome lights are on if there not then I don't
    have power to the switchs.

I think its kinda neat but don't think its supose to be that way...

yeah mines the same as well. Im thinking it has something to do with a relay as you can hear one switching when you play with the dome llights. I just need a wiring diagram to sort it out

Alright so I'm having the same issue(if its an issue at all). I'm just wondering, is it normal to always have power to the windows?

I'm just trying to figure out what is draining my battery. I let it sit for 2 days and my battery is dead.

          Wow, that's a new one.

Pull Fuse 19, see if the window switches are still lit with the door open.

What are you thinking? That's that switch is directional with respect to current flow? I'd have to look, but I'd doubt it.

That would take incredible stupidity...but I have seen a radio installed with the acc and dash lights connected together...

Mine also work if my front doors are open enough to trigger the dome lights (basically when the door switches are grounded). Doesn't work with the rears open though.

How will I know if its reversed? And you are talking about the window circuit breaker switch for the windows right?I know that thing works because I was sitting in my car with the windows up wondering why they wouldn't go down when I first got the car.

I will try that tomorrow when there is light out.

oh no, sorry, i messed up.

when my windows were always on it was because the cigarette lighter wire was connected to the window breaker.

Since you say that, I'm guessing the cigarette lighter is always supplied power? Correct?
