This is what I plan on doing...I still haven't gotten around to it. Over Thanksgiving break it's definitely going to happen, though.

That's it, but you want the Non-DSP version.
I found mine cheap on e46fanatics because it was missing the cable that goes to the iPod. They pop up there rather often, so keep an eye out over there if you're a member.

At this point I could care less, one car has one and the other has S14 tunes all the time via a blank plate.

For what it's worth, CD43 is a fat waste of fat stacks of cash dollars to get to work with an input, and CDs will still skip anyway so you might as well get a smarter aftermarket deck that is as neutral looking as possible.
