Problem with my Keyless, REC-43t system

I thought I would start a new thread on this system, because the sticky thread is a little overcrowded, and communication gets jumbled over there.

I am having a problem getting my Omega REC-43t to work.

-I have all the wires properly connected, going by the color code on Zoso's sight.
-I sent the red 12v wire over to the antenna, and am getting power to the system.
-The pins are all set in the center position
-I did all the necessary transmitter programing, with the blinking and the chirping and so on and so forth.

Yet when all is said and done, nothing! The thing doesn't work, the doors won't lock or unlock, and neither will the trunk.

I can't seem to figure out what I'm doing wrong. Unless there is some hidden problem with the central locking system, like there are some busted wires in a place where I can't see or access them, I'm not sure what else I could be doing wrong.

This is supposed to be a super easy install...everybody else said they got it done in a half hour and it works great. No, I'm not a mechanic, but I'm not a total moron. And right about now, I feel like one.

    Will someone please help!

Does your central locking work as it should from the trunk and driver's door?

No, this was the whole reason I got the keyless in the first place.

My driver door does not lock with the key from the outside. Only locks from inside when door is closed, which means I have to reach in from the passenger door to lock the driver door.

The trunk locks and unlocks fine, but does not lock the doors when I turn the key.

The passenger door locks and unlocks fine, but is very slow and heavy when I turn the key..as if you're trying to move something with moving parts when the power is off.

I had an old thread about my problems with locks, and everyone's suggestion to fix it was to install a keyless system.....Hence.....where I am now.

You gotta fix your central locking first. Keyless entry won't do jack for you if your central locking unit is shot. You can however bypass it by adding relays for the door actuators but this should be your last resort.

So basically, none of the central locking system was working from any of the door, trunk or inside the car, so you added a key entry module hoping it to work? Sorry.

Swap the module out, it's inside the driver side speaker cavity. Have you had a leaking sunroof? Flooding? Wet carpet?

Ok, gotta fix the central locking....even though other people told me that the keyless system would have fixed that.

No, I have no leaks anywhere.

So it's by the speaker cavity? Ok. anybody have a CLS for me?

Not BY the speaker cavity. IN the speaker cavity. Perfect time to upgrade your delay unit as well. ;)

The reason I asked about leaks, is that if water killed it the first time, It will do it again as well. So it's something to look for when you are in there.

Before you go replacing the central locking module, look at repairing the door lock. It can cause all sorts of stupid problems with the rest of the system when the driver's door lock mechanism goes. The repair kit is $35 and takes about an hour to rebuild.

I would say this isn't it because he has the same problem from the trunk and other door as well. Also if this were the problem then yes a keyless entry system would bypass this and the locks would work. The keyless system is providing a lock/unlock signal normally sent by the door lock microswitch.
