Gauge Cluster - Orange background lighting

I am having an issue with the right (rpm/temp side) light not working. I went in and replaced the bulbs and still no luck. The bulb carrier looks to be ok.

    Thoughts?

I searched and did not come up with much - may be having trouble with key words though :D

Yeah, I did on the carrier. I think I need to get in there and see what the condition of the contacts are on the board. I guess it would have been too much to do that when I had it apart to replace the SI board and temp gauge

Try giving the right side of the dash / cluster housing a smack with your palm. Mine intermittently fails to illuminate at start-up and a quick smack gets it working right quick! Both of my E30s have been this way for some reason.

Possibly bad contacts on the main board OR the wiring plug going to the cluster
