    This is pretty much exactly how I did it except for taking out so much of the surrounding material.

        would doing this mod on e30 m3 seat give any benifit? (not going as far as cutting hole into the leather and porting it, but removing some of the foam... ?

          love it.
          back seat has NO support in the middle seat, all foam/metal wire/and fibrous materials have been romoved.

          plus it looks pretty clean.

              Are these cup holders?? I think your doing it wrong..






              But I think that would allow more road noise from the trunk to protrude into the cab.

                nope.

                i mean, probably in theory, but the bass gets into the cab and noise is blocked by the box, so overall its a gain. A luke Box does as good a job isolating as that stupid trunk tar does. And this way you hear the box even better
