He would separate the amp and the subs, but we're not looking for any trades. I can get a price on just the amp if you want.

Hell.... for 30 bux you should be able to rawk with that. Just make sure the other sub isn't blown or if it really is then replace it. Find out what kind of amp you are getting too. All you'll need is wires and a couple hours to put everything in and you'll be boomin.
As far as the m500. Yeah... I know the amp. I want it. Tell him to get me a price. Let me know what you come up with ASAP. Ich mochte dammit!

do you guys think there will be enough bass comming out of the preouts if the recievers "x-bass" is turend off to drive the woofer? I guess i have a 50ft rca cable and could hook the preouts to my home stereo to see how much bass there is?
what can i do about a volume control under the seat or something?
also one of my mb quarts kind of makes a vibrating sound when there is some bass going through it. I cant really hear it from my seat but i know its there. the speakers look to not have any cracks or anything. any ideas?

I wouldn't use the "X-Bass." If you want the music to sound as the artist composed it, leave it off. However, if you're pimpin high school parking lots, you may want to leave it on.
Are you sure the speaker basket isn't vibrating against the sheet-metal?
If you're getting vibration from the mids, it's either distortion or you've blown the voice coil. If you're just running them off of the deck, then you either have too little power to them, or you've been keeping them at max volume and the amp was clipping and distorted them.Originally posted by Grueliusand i do not know what bugg brakes are.

RCA Preouts = RCA preouts. The ONLY reason there are specific "subwoofer" preouts is for decks that have an adjustable lowpass xover in them specifically for a subwoofer. A deck with only 2 sets of preouts (front/rear) doesnt have that adjustability. You can use whatever set of preouts you want. Those go to your amp. As long as the amp has a lowpass xover, youll be fine. As for power, it depends on which subs you are using and what size box it is. Also what impedence they are. 2 ohms, 4 ohms, dual 2, dual 4, etc.
