kit? there is no kit per say. Someone might have the wiring and control unit along with actuators etc to make the car into central locking.

I think he means "keyless entry". Looks like a pretty sweet kit with those later style BMW key/transmitters.

United Auto Security sells them on ebay. I got mine from Rightclick.co.uk, but they don't sell them anymore it seems.

A word of advice, however...I got my keys copied and the keyless key was actually thinner (not as wide) than the OEM key, so when the locksmith copied them it didn't make the correct cuts. He noticed this and sure enough, it didn't work when I tried it in my lock.

Also, the key blade is only held in with a tiny machine screw that is screwed into the plastic housing. It is very weak and I thought it would snap off in a matter of days. I ended up just taking the key blade out, and putting some epoxy in the hole and using just the fob to lock/unlock and the OEM key to start the car.

I did get another diamond shaped aftermarket key without a chip off ebay that was MUCH more better constructed but the chip won't swap over from the UAS/Rightclick keyless unit.

I can take pictures tomorrow to help describe and explain if necessary. I posted a little in the sticky at the top of the forum, but I don't really recall if I cited these issues.

That's a shame. Great idea but poor execution. If they are going to offer key blanks with integrated remote, they better make sure it's durable!
