How do I disconnect the beeping when the drivers door is open?!

I may just kill myself..it's doing it while the door is closed and the keys aren't even in the ignition

The door gong is mounted to the knee panel under the steering wheel. There should be a little plastic access cover you can pop out that it is clipped to. Unplug it and huck it down the street.

    Problem solved.

It's a little speaker box under the steering column. It might not be in it's original location but hanging around somewhere. Just unplug it.

On a side note, I may just put mine back in. I think it gives that originality back to the car since many people delete them. I also miss setting the top speed limiter and having it gong whenever you hit it. Always thought that was a cool feature.

Does your car have an airbag?

See the little plastic panel in the upper left corner? That is where the gong is. That is a non airbag panel though, so if you have an airbag, it will be different. Not exactly sure if the gong is mounted in the same place on an airbag car.

You got it backwards. That is the 2nd half of the airbag panel. The early style is all 1 piece.

For future reference, this is the NON-airbag panel:

Does the Gong sound when the headlights are left on and the key is out? If so I may reconnect mine as well, always seem to drive thru fog to get somewhere, then it's clear at the destination.

No, it only works when the door is open, top speed limit is reached or when the temp dips down to...30 degrees? or something like that.
