No you need a relay (which it comes with) and 2 Diodes

Garbage quality. Do not waste your money.

I'm not tracking here..... you need diodes for light flash? WTF?

Also.... is the key the main reason you guys are wanting this keyless system? Cause there are way better ones on the market. Although having the key built into the remote (or the other way around) would be a cool thing.... I would rather have a good quality DEI or Alpine unit over that particular feature. But its a cool idea none the less.

I hate seperate remotes, I wanted something that looks somewhat OEM and clean.

If it was not for the key I would not have it at all.

same reason here, I'd like something with the remote built into the key, mainly just for keyless entry options, but the alarm would be nice.

I agree 100% I wish I could program the Passat alarm key I have so I could eliminate my alarm remote. I have looked on VWVortex but seems no one knows how to reprogram them.
